Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Sports Stats Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, for your use of the Farm Director app. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. Your Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Farm Director on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment.

You may not copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded; remove or alter any copyright or ownership notices; modify or create derivative works from it; or use it in any unlawful way.

2. Ownership

The app, its source code, artwork, text, design, game systems and the name "Farm Director" are owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. You are buying a licence to use the app, not the app itself. Any rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

All farms, brands, machinery makes, sponsors, people and places in the game are invented. Any resemblance to real businesses, products or people is coincidental.

3. In-App Purchases

Farm Director offers optional in-app purchases of in-game currency. They are not required to play or to complete the game.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Your payment relationship is with Apple, and Apple's terms govern it. Purchases are consumable: they are applied to a save game and are used up. They cannot be restored after use, and they are not transferred if you delete the app, delete a save slot, or move to a new device.

In-game money and everything you buy with it are not real money, not currency, and have no value outside the game. They cannot be redeemed, exchanged, transferred or cashed out, and they are worth nothing on their own. Purchases are final. We cannot issue refunds — Apple handles all refund requests, at Apple's discretion, through reportaproblem.apple.com. We may change the price or availability of in-app purchases, or stop offering them, at any time.

If you share a device or your Apple Account with a child, use Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions to disable in-app purchases.

4. Your Save Data

Your progress is saved locally on your device only. There is no cloud save and no account, so we cannot recover a lost game. Save data can be lost if you delete the app, reset the device, or if a file becomes corrupted. Keeping a device backup is the only protection, and it is your responsibility.

5. Updates and Availability

We may release updates that change, add or remove features, and we may stop supporting older versions of iOS. We may also stop distributing or supporting the app entirely. We are not obliged to provide updates, support or continued availability, and we owe you no refund if we discontinue the app.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs, or that any defect will be corrected.

Farm Director is a work of fiction. Its farming, financial and market simulations are designed for entertainment and are not agricultural, financial, investment, veterinary or business advice. Do not make real-world decisions on the basis of anything in this game.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, lost save games, lost profits or lost purchases, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid for the app and its in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £20.

8. Apple

You acknowledge that these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or privacy law. If a third party claims the app infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance of them Apple will have the right to enforce them against you.

9. Termination

This licence ends automatically if you break these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the app. Sections 2, 6, 7, 8 and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country in which you live.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when the app changes. The current version will always be at our support page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
