This Privacy Policy explains how Sports Stats Limited ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with our website sports-stats.org (the "Website") and our mobile game Tennis Director (the "App"). Together, the Website and the App are referred to as our "Services".

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in an open and transparent manner, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

Sports Stats Limited is a company registered in England and Wales. For any privacy questions, contact us at info@sports-stats.org. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Sports Stats Limited is the data controller in respect of the personal data described in this policy.

2. Summary

The App does not collect personal data. Tennis Director is a single-player, offline game. Your game progress is saved only on your own device and is never sent to us. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not ask you to log in or provide your name, email, or any other personal details to play. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple — we never receive or store your payment card details. We do not sell your personal data.

3. The App — Tennis Director

Game Data Stored on Your Device

Tennis Director stores your game saves — tournament progress, settings, and similar game state — locally on your device. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the App, and is deleted when you delete the relevant save or delete the App from your device. We have no access to this data and cannot recover it for you.

In-App Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases (consumable in-game items). These purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not receive or store your payment method, card number, or billing details. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying sales and analytics information — for example, the number of units sold in a territory — through App Store Connect. This does not identify you personally.

Information Collected Automatically by Apple

When you download or use the App, Apple may collect certain information in accordance with its own policies — for example, for crash reporting and App Store analytics, where you have enabled these on your device. We may receive this information from Apple only in aggregated, anonymised form. You can manage these settings on your device under Settings › Privacy & Security.

No Tracking

The App does not use third-party advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not contain third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

4. The Website

Information You Give Us

If you contact us by email or through a contact form, we will process the information you choose to provide — such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message — in order to respond to you and provide support.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Website, our hosting provider may automatically collect limited technical information, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, and the pages you visit along with the date and time of your visit. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the Website.

Cookies

The Website may use strictly necessary cookies required for the Website to function. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where we process personal data through the Website, we rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR: legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our Services and to respond to your enquiries, where these interests are not overridden by your rights; consent — for non-essential cookies and any marketing communications, where applicable (you may withdraw consent at any time); and legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data with service providers who help us run our Services (such as website hosting and IT support) acting as our processors; with Apple in connection with the App and in-app purchases; with professional advisers, authorities, or regulators where required by law or to protect our legal rights; and with a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. International Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement — so that your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

8. Data Retention

App game data is retained on your device until you delete it. Website enquiries are retained for as long as necessary to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law.

9. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you; to request correction of inaccurate data; to request erasure of your data; to restrict or object to our processing; to request data portability; to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent; and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@sports-stats.org. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you approach the ICO.

10. Children

Our Services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The App is a game that does not collect personal data. Please refer to the App's age rating on the App Store. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data through the Website, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Website with a revised "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
