Effective Date: 26 April 2026
Sports Stats Limited ("we", "us", or "our") is the developer of Slalom Run (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the App. We are a company registered in England and Wales and this policy is governed by UK law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Overview
Slalom Run is designed with privacy as a default. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data you enter into the App lives on your device and nowhere else.
1. Data Controller
Sports Stats Limited is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR. However, because we do not collect or process any personal data on external systems, there is no data processing activity for us to control in practice. All data processing occurs locally on your device under your sole control.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data.
All information you enter into Slalom Run — including names, course details, run times, gate splits, and penalties — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device:
| Data type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| User profile (name, role) | Identify whether you are a coach or athlete within the App |
| Athlete / competitor names | Associate runs with a person |
| Course and gate details | Provide the structure for timing sessions |
| Run records (times, splits, penalties) | Display results and calculate personal bests |
| App preferences (appearance mode) | Remember your display settings |
This data is only accessible to you on your device. It is not backed up to iCloud unless you have iCloud backup enabled for your device, in which case it is subject to Apple's iCloud privacy practices.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Any data through tracking technologies (cookies, pixels, etc.)
5. Lawful Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we are required to identify a lawful basis for any personal data processing. Because we do not collect or process personal data on our systems, no such basis is required for our operations. Any data stored on your device is processed solely by you, on your device, under your own control.
6. Subscription and Payments
Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not process or store any payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all payment-related data: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
We receive only an anonymous notification from Apple confirming whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your name, Apple ID, or payment details.
7. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
8. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has entered personal information into the App, please note that this data remains on the device and is not accessible to us. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
All data is stored on your device for as long as you have the App installed. You can delete individual records within the App at any time. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data permanently.
We have no access to your data and therefore cannot delete it on your behalf.
10. Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security settings (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We recommend keeping your device and iOS up to date. We have taken reasonable technical steps to ensure the App itself does not create security vulnerabilities in how it stores your data locally.
11. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification — correct inaccurate personal data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — restrict processing of your personal data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
Because we do not hold any of your personal data on our systems, these rights are exercised directly on your device. If you have any questions about exercising your rights, please contact us at the address below.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues: ico.org.uk.
12. International Transfers
We do not transfer any personal data outside the UK or EEA because we do not collect or store personal data on our systems.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
